This has ensured that he is able to impart the skills and tools necessary to maintain a healthy, injury free employee/patient population, free from manual handling related accidents.
Rehabilitation At Home represents the largest single provider of Manual Handling training in Southeast Queensland. The courses developed by Rehabilitation At Home have been designed as a three level course that are delivered over 3 - 7 hours duration. However, courses are highly adaptable to suit specific patient populations, equipment and actual individual facility requirements. A combination of both theory and practical based learning is delivered in a format that is informative, fun, interactive and industry relevant. Manual Handling sessions have been conducted for a variety of situations and needs e.g. Disability bus/transport vehicles, patient homes, classroom, hospital, nursing facility, supported accommodation etc.
In addition courses are also conducted for ancillary staff eg cleaners, cooks, gardeners and administration staff etc, however these sessions are not clinically focused, rather provide education for the fundamentals of safe manual handling in the workplace. All resources have previously been developed and are available for ready use at any time. Work place injury data is requested prior to the course and then 6months after the course to allow for comparison of Manual Handling related injuries or instances.
