MOBILITY THERAPY:

An intensive 1:1 program of physiotherapy intervention aimed at reducing falls rates and improving the patient's general functional ability. Treatment consists of individualized functional strengthening and balance programs delivered as 2-3 treatment sessions per week. Mobility therapy is designed to ensure that the patient maintains their capacity to remain independent and mobile, subsequently reducing the patient's reliance on mobility aids. The maintenance of the patient's functional capacity will reduce the risk of falls and the typical downhill spiral of health complications commonly directly related to their occurrence.

HYDROTHERAPY:

Hydrotherapy is an effective treatment performed one on one with the physiotherapist within a heated pool. This therapy is often used during key stages of rehabilitation to enable treatment gains that may not have been achieved as quickly via conventional clinic based rehabilitation. Hydrotherapy is fantastic for regaining function post injury or orthopaedic surgery, whilst its benefits for pain relief from chronic conditions such as arthritis or back pain are remarkable. Often this form of physiotherapy is used regularly to promote mobility and improve/maintain physical function for those patients who are experiencing significant disability or neurodegenerative disease.
