DIABETES EDUCATOR
A qualified Diabetes Educator will provide a comprehensive and individualised program to ensure patients are well informed regarding what is the optimal management of their Diabetes.
Careful monitoring will occur alongside a continued education process, ensuring minimal negative comorbidities arise as a result of poorly maintained blood glucose levels.
REMEDIAL THERAPY
Allow an RAH Remedial Therapist to provide relief for all of your aches and pains derived from your weekly fitness or work schedule. Try either a relaxing remedial massage or even a more intensive and focused muscle tone relieving treatment.
Whether it is muscle spasm, strain or soft tissue injury, a remedial therapist will provide professional and evidence-based treatment for your concern.
PODIATRY
Podiatry interventions are designed to diagnose, treat and educate the patient in the following areas:

AUDIOLOGY
An RAH Audiologist will evaluate hearing loss and related disorders, including balance (vestibular) disorders and tinnitus (ringing in the ears).
Treatment will include rehabilitative strategy or the provision of an assistive device for individuals with hearing loss. Government assistance is currently available for approved eligible patients.
MOBILITY THERAPY
An intensive 1:1 program of Mobility Therapy is aimed at reducing falls rates and improving the patient’s general functional ability.
Treatment consists of individualised functional strengthening and balance programs, delivered as 2-3 treatment sessions per week. Mobility therapy is designed to ensure that the patient maintains their capacity to remain independent and mobile, subsequently reducing the patient’s reliance on mobility aids.
The maintenance of the patient’s functional capacity will reduce the risk of falls and the typical downhill spiral of health complications directly related to their occurrence.
SOCIAL WORKER
An AHSA Social Worker will assist people at times of crisis. Their clients may include families, students, hospital patients or the elderly.
Social workers can provide clients with practical support, counselling, information and emotional support. They can suggest different ways of looking at a problem and will be able to give their client the information they need in order to make a difference to their life.
AHSA Social workers can help with problems such as homelessness, domestic violence, alcohol and drug addiction, sexual assault and child abuse. They can also help people who have suffered a major crisis or are going through bereavement.
